Removal of birds nests can be particularly time consuming and may require the use of a specialist camera if required.

Please note that if there are currently active nests in the chimney they must be left and fires not lit until the birds vacate their nests. It is an offence to intentionally take, damage or destroy any active wild birds nest in the U.K under the wildlife and countryside act 1981. The nesting season for jackdaws runs from April-July, so nests can be removed from late August onwards. It’s also worth noting that jackdaws return to the same nesting spot each year, so upon removal I can quote for the appropriate protection for your chimney to ensure this doesn’t happen again.
